Plot
Sundar and Sheetal love each other and hope to get married soon. His mother approves of this match, Sundar makes his living by playing cricket and has become a very popular cricketer and this has brought about many enemies in his life. Among them are Gautam, who conspires with Sheetal to bring about the destruction of Sundar, to which Sheetal agrees because Gautam has Sheetal's mother captive and threatens to kill her if Sheetal does not agree to all his schemes and they send goons after him and after trashing the goons he lands himself in jail and here is where he will find out that Sheetal is not what she claims to be. Frustrated at this, on Sheetal and Gautam's wedding, Sundar picks up a pistol and shoots Sheetal in public and is charged for this crime. A charge that carries the death sentence. Later in the movie, a journalist tries to help him and finds out everything that happened. It is revealed that the actual murderer was Gautam. Once Sundar realises that Sheetal was forced to do everything and she actually loved him, he requests the authority to let him visit Sheetal's grave one last time before he is hanged for his crime and they fulfill his request. Sundar kisses the grave and the police comes with a letter saying that Sundar is free. Everyone become happy and they call Sundar but he dies kissing the grave of his lover.Bewafa Sanam (1995) - IMDb

Storyline

Heart touching songs with a good climax !!
It's a musical, based
on the life and story of Janab Ataullah Khan, the poet, the singer. In
the movie, Sundar Sehgal (Krishan Kumar) was an all rounder , who wanted
to become a great cricketer like his father. As he was moving ahead
towards his goal, then a girl, Sheetal (Shilpa Shirodkar) comes in his
life. Her entry & the professional rivalry with a fellow mate,
Gautam. Sagar turns everything upside down. He lost his mother, killed
his own lover, Sheetal for which he was imprisoned. Mamta (Shilpa
Shirodkar, double role ) who resembles Sheetal was the daughter of
Jailer (Kiran Kumar) . She tries and succeeds in finding the real truth
behind the conspiracy with the help of Onkar ( Asrani ). In the
concluding part of the movie, we come to know that Sagar had conspired
everything. He was the person behind Sheetal's denial of marriage
proposal and killing her. Knowing the truth, Sundar's spirit leaves his
body. I give 7 out of 10 for this flick. The movie had some unnecessary
characters in it but Kishan k and his acting was outstanding. And again -
Sonu, Udit Narayan have given few awesome songs which one will listen
again and again in their life. The double role from the actress was
outstanding. Shakti Kapoor again at his best performances. I would
recommend any lovers watch this movie once in their life !
