Plot :
In the high up heavens Goddess Parvati and Lord Shankar unvails the curtain of clounds to observe down below the earth that prevails in non-belief of religion. To emmencipate the people from the evil clutches of ethism, Their providential deisre convenes the birth of an imaculate child to the house of Govind Das, a preist in the village of Ratnapur. The child Poornamashi soon grows to maturity and baffles the village with her miraculous performances. The head Priest of the village could not stand the popularity of this girl. He deviced a plot to destory the power rested in her and even so far as to prevent her from being married. But man proposes and God disposes-so did all the covining tacktics of the priest proved fruitlless and Porrnamashi was married to Mohan, a brahmin. At this the provocation and jealousy of th priest knew no bounds. His intentions were clear. On the night of the marriage he contrived to decitfully administer "Halhal" poison upon the bridegroom. The evil effect of the drug worked fast and soon Mohan lost his eyes and later his body conformed to that of a laper. Sati Poornamashi could not think of any possible remedy but taking her husband to all the scared pilgrim places and thus commened hazardous journey of covering more than 300 "Teerths". During her travel she suffered the pangs of hunger and thrust; conquered the treemendous exhaustion but withstood bravely all these obstructions and tribulations. When finally they were assending the steps of Kailash and just as the ambitions of Sati Poornamashi were on the verge of being fulfilled, her husband Mohan collapsed and was taken away her by the God of death. Yet the undejected Poornamashi lost no hopes. Even here she stooped to achieve the life of her departed husband and the conflict between her human resolution against the divinity is a matter of curiousity which can only be pacified on the silver screen.
