Dil Ka Kya Kasoor (translation: What is the crime of heart, is a 1992 Bollywood film starring Divya Bharti and Prithvi.
The music of the film, from duo Nadeem-Shravan, was an instant hit due
to its catchy melodies. The film failed to do well at the box office.[1]
Rejesh tells Shalini that he will only arrange her marriage to Arun if he finds a better job. Shalini knows that Arun is a good singer because he often sings at college functions. She tells her friend, Madhu, to start up a music company and encourages Arun to become a singer. She starts writing songs for Arun Kumar but prefers to remains anonymous. Arun buys these songs from an editor, Mr. Verma, who tells him that these songs are written by a girl called Seema. Through her songs, he becomes popular and wealthy virtually overnight.
Finally, Shalini's brother gets ready to get her married to Arun, but he finds out that Arun has married the principal's daughter, Meena (Sanam). Shalini then decides to remain unmarried for the rest of her life. Her health gradually deteriorates and she is hospitalized. Mr. Verma tells Arun that Seema has cancer and is in the hospital. He goes to the hospital, only to find out that Seema is none other than Shalini. He tells her wife about Shalini and they go to hospital together, but on arrival discover that she has already died.

Plot
Shalini (Divya Bharti) is sister of a rich businessman, Rajesh Saxena (Suresh Oberoi). She is in love with her classmate, Arun Kumar (Prithvi), who is an orphan. But she doesn't tell Arun about this because he doesn't like her; he thinks Shalini is a spoiled rich girl. When Rajesh comes to know about his sister's love, he goes to meet Arun, only to find out that he is an orphan and is living in an apartment, since he doesn't have a house of his own.Rejesh tells Shalini that he will only arrange her marriage to Arun if he finds a better job. Storyline
Shalini Saxena lives a wealthy life-style with her brother Rajesh. She
attends college and writes a few poems under the name Seema as part time
activity, she meets her fellow collegian an orphan called Arun Kumar
who sings for important occasions usually following the words of her
poem. Shalini loves Arun wholeheartedly but is unable to express her
feelings to him and thus she secretly helps Arun to not only become a
popular singer but also rich. And then Arun gets married to the college
principal daughter Meena; this breaks Shalini's heart and to make
matters worse she is diagnosed with throat cancer and does not have any

My first Hindi movie
The main thing why the
movie is so special for me is because this was the first Hindi movie I
had ever seen. At that time I was about seven years old. I fell in love
with this movie. Still today, after fourteen years, I love this movie.
It is a comparatively unknown movie. The movie is a love story.
Arun is a final year student in the college. Shalni, a class fellow falls in love with him. She is a good poet. She sends her poetry to college magazine and Arun incidentally reads it. Her poetic name is Seema. Arun has a great respect for Seema because he has sung Seema's poem in the college annual function and becomes popular. He and Shalni has a bad relationship in college and he does not know that Shalni loves him. After his completion of masters, he wants to find a job as he has no one in the world and he was studying on scholarship. In this period of crises, Shalni plans with her friend that why not she should help him build his career as a singer. But she does not want herself to be known to Arun as his career maker. She writes songs in magazines and collects funds for Arun's shows. Basically all the money is her. And then Arun becomes a star. What happens next I think should be known by watching the movie.
Music, acting and direction are great. Don't miss this one. Beware it is a little bit sad. But it is a complete story.
