Plot
Ravi Kapoor (Jeetendra) lives a wealthy lifestyle with his wife Jaya Kapoor (Jayaprada), a daughter and a new born baby boy. Once Jaya has to consult a famous gynecologist Dr. Rajan Bakshi (Puneet Issar), while examination he tries to molest her but she is successful in escaping. Ravi & Jaya exposes Dr. Rajan with the help of their journalist friend Nisha Sharma (Varsha Usgaonkar), when the Police tries to arrest him he commits suicide leaving behind his pregnant wife Anuradha R. Bakshi (Anu Aggarwal) who does not know the reality of her husband. After the death Anuradha suffers a miscarriage and blames Jaya for wreaking her happy married life. Time Passes Jaya decides to appoint a governess to take care of her baby. Now Anuradha sets upon a mission to make Jaya suffer for her deeds and changes herself as Kiran and joins as governess in their house and soon things start going wrong in Kapoor's family. Remaining story is will the innocent Jaya be able to face the evil Anuradha?Cast

Storyline
This chilling tale is about the trauma a busy lady doctor, Dr Priya
(Jayaprada) goes through when she hires a new governess, Kiran (Anu
Agarwal) for her kids. Kiran is efficient, charming and very good at her
job but a series of weird events shatters the peace in the home. Dr
Priya gradually discovers a connection between these events and Kiran.

Yet another Great Bollywood Re-make
I am a firm believer,
that Bollywood is at it's best when it creates Re-makes. Other superior
Re-makes include Baazigar(A Kiss Before Dying), Aetbaar(Fear), Pehla
Nasha(Body Double), among others. In this case, it's "The Hand That
Rocks The Cradle" that gets a Re-working.
Anu Agarwal is convincing as the evil schemer, and the overall character development is strong. The pacing of this film also means that it doesn't hang about, or drag. It has been a long while since I have seen this, but it has left a lasting impression.
All-round this film is superb entertainment, and is better than the original.
