Storyline
Crime and corruption have taken over Bombay City and there seems to be
no solution. Then a rash of kidnappings, of young women, takes place.
One male who was traveling in an auto-rickshaw with his sister, saw her
being abducted by a male named Auto Kesariya right in front of his eyes.
When he goes to the nearby Kala Chowki Police Station, he is asked to
make a written complaint. He does so, yet his sister is not located. He
persists with his complaint, and then one day disappears from the police
station itself. His wife approaches the Courts and asks for their
assistance in locating her husband, as she fears that the police
themselves are behind his disappearance. The Police Commissioner takes
the Governor's permission and has a jailed prisoner, a former Assistant
Commissioner of Police, Arjun Verma, reinstated, and assigned to this
case. Arjun will get himself deeply involved in this disappearance and
the kidnappings and will face the shock and trauma of finding skeletal

A 1995 blockbuster!
T Rama Rao's 1995 flick
'Ravan Raaj: A True Story' is a fantastic entertainer. The film was a
huge success at the box office, and it deserved to be. A true story on
the incidences of organ racket that happened in south India. A true
story told in the most interesting and gripping manner. Two Big Thumbs
Up!
Performances: Mithun Chakraborty is my favorite actor, his performance here also is excellent. Madhu looks great and did a lovely job. Aditya Panscholi is superb. Paresh Rawal is fantastic. His punch line in the film is truly hilarious and meaningful. Shakti Kapoor plays to the gallery. Harish and Sheeba are good. Johnny Lever is hilarious in that one sequence. Others are good.
'Ravan Raaj: A True Story' is a winner all the way. Amazing direction, amazing songs and commendable performances make this 1995 flick a complete treat. Go for it!

Ravan Raaj: A True Story is a 1995 Hindi-language Indian feature film directed by T.Rama Rao, starring Mithun Chakraborty, Madhoo, and Aditya Pancholi and is centred on kidney smugglers and a serial killer. The film is a remake of Tamil blockbuster Pulan Visaranai starring Vijayakanth. It was a Hit film at the box office.
The movie has six songs composed by Viju Shah which are, to some extent, significant till date.[1] "Husnwaalon Se Yeh Dil Bachaaye" by Udit Narayan in his archetypal upbeat style, the catchy number "Yaar Mere Mausam Hai Mastaana Mastaana" suggestive of romance in a fine weather are some well-known euphonious songs of the album. Voices for the songs were rendered by Kumar Sanu, Sadhana Sargam, Sapna Mukherjee, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Udit Narayan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Bali Brahmbhatt and Poornima with lyrics by the eminent lyricist Anand Bakshi.

Plot summary
Crime and corruption have taken over Bombay City without any solution. A rash of kidnappings of young women takes place. One auto-rickshaw driver Auto Kesariya is behind this crime. The policemen of Kala Chowki Police Station are doing little to stop these crimes. Former Assistant Commissioner of Police, Arjun Verma is reinstated and assigned to this case. Arjun gets himself deeply involved in this disappearance and the kidnappings and faces the shock and trauma of finding skeletal remains of young women who have been abducted as well as body parts stolen from innocent patients from hospitals. His personal life also turns upside down as his fiancée abandons him on his wedding day, while his niece is abducted and held for ransom, and above all Arjun Verma himself becomes the target of assassins hired by influential politicians and senior police officials.Cast
