Anari No. 1 is a 1999 Indian Hindi language comedy movie directed by Kuku Kohli. The film stars Govinda, Raveena Tandon and Simran in lead roles and Aruna Irani, Kader Khan, Satish Shah, Satyendra Kapoor in supporting roles and the songs are composed by Dilip Sen and Sameer Sen. The film was a "Super Hit" at the box office.[2]
With the help of garage owner, Sattarbhai (Satish Shah), all three of them concoct a plot to kidnap Rahul Saxena, hold him for ransom, while Raja takes his place. After kidnapping him, Raja does take his place with Rahul's family, his stepmom, Sharda, dad Dhanraj, uncle, aunt, and sweetheart Sona (Simran). Sona happens to be the daughter of Raja's mentor K.K., and this arouses anger with K.K. when he finds out that Raja has chosen Sona to seduce. Then things start to go wrong as Raja himself gets kidnapped, as he is mistaken for Rahul.

Plot
Naive Raja (Govinda) is employed as a lowly waiter in a hotel. One day he serves and looks after a wealthy businessman K.K. (Kader Khan), who lends him a suit, and gives him some money, so that he could find a rich woman to woo and marry. Raja thinks Sapna (Raveena Tandon) is wealthy and successfully woos her and wins her heart, only to find out that she too is on the lookout for a rich prince charming. She thought Raja was the rich, debonair, and eligible bachelor Rahul Saxena (Govinda).With the help of garage owner, Sattarbhai (Satish Shah), all three of them concoct a plot to kidnap Rahul Saxena, hold him for ransom, while Raja takes his place. After kidnapping him, Raja does take his place with Rahul's family, his stepmom, Sharda, dad Dhanraj, uncle, aunt, and sweetheart Sona (Simran). The Govinda/David
Dhawan combination just gets better with every movie..! This one is no
exception, right from the lyrics of the opening song to Johnny Lever's
hilarious impersonation of Daler Mehndi. Dhawan seems to have a knack of
laughing at everything thats established about Hindi cinema... he
does'nt even hesitate to poke fun at his own movie - with Sattar Bhai
(Satish Shah), Raveena Tandon, and Govinda (Raju) pausing towards the
middle of the movie and having a quick on screen introspection on where
the movie is heading... ".. is plot mein twist kaise layen yaar..." asks
Sattar before introducing a whole bunch of whacko villains and comics
to continue the entertainment. For those who spend $8-10 on a puny 80
minute Hollywood production wondering at the end what to do with your
half-full tub of popcorn, this movie should put an end to all your
hopeless angst. This is actually 2 movies for the price of one - an
all-you-can-eat orgy of fun that you will want to see again and again to
catch all the subtle jokes. The only reason I did'nt give it a 10 was
the rather poor ending - a standard filmi fight instead of more crazy
antics or another song & dance sequence from Govinda.
