Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (English: Every Heart That Loves) is a 2000 Indian Hindi romance film directed by Raj Kanwar. The film stars Salman Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji with a special appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. It was highly praised by the critics and was the third hit in a row by Salman Khan-Sajid Nadiadwala (producer) collaboration[2] It became the fourth highest grosser of the year. The film is a remake of 1997 Malayalam film Chandralekha starring Mohanlal and the plot also has some minor elements loosely based on the film While You Were Sleeping.
As the family gets to know the pretend Romi, Pooja's best friend, Jahnvi (Preity Zinta) starts spending a lot of time with him. He falls in love with Jahnvi, who is regarded as a second daughter by Pooja's family. Then Pooja revives from her coma and complicates matters by falling for Raj. Raj chooses Jahnvi because he really loves her and admits that he acted as Pooja's husband out of kindness.
According to the Indian trade website Box Office India, with around 22,00,000 units sold, this film's soundtrack album was the year's fifth highest-selling.[3]

Plot
Raj (Salman Khan) is a singer trying to make his way in the big city of Mumbai. He rescues a young woman who has fallen in front of a train and stays with her when she is rushed to a hospital. Pooja Oberoi (Rani Mukerji), the daughter of a wealthy family, survives but falls into a coma. Her family rushes to the hospital and, finding Raj there, assumes that he is Pooja's husband, Romi, with whom she had eloped and whom they had never met. Since Pooja's father has a higher chance of a heart attack, Raj lies and says he is Romi.As the family gets to know the pretend Romi, Pooja's best friend, Jahnvi (Preity Zinta) starts spending a lot of time with him. Storyline
Raj is a struggling singer with big dreams who is still waiting for his
big break. One night he witnesses an accident where a car spins out of
control and lands on the tracks of an on-coming train. Raj runs over to
the wreckage and rescues the occupant just in time. He takes her to the
hospital and the girl's family are informed. The girl, Pooja Oberoi,
survives but is in a vigil coma, a condition whereby she can hear and
see everything but cannot speak nor move any part of her body. The
Oberoi family is grateful to Raj and are led to believe that he is
Pooja's groom, Romi. Raj is reluctant to accept this but then he changes
his mind and accepts being the groom, as he has an agenda of his own
and takes advantage of this accident to further his goals. But then he
meets Pooja's best friend Jahnvi and falls in love with her. The
situation is complicated even more when Pooja wakes up from the coma and
begins to show feelings for Raj. Written by

Quite silly... Good Songs... Preity and Rani are beautiful...
The film has nothing
special to offer, except for very very melodious songs by Anu Malik, two
beautiful girls (Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee), who, at that point
of time, were reasonably newcomers, and today, both are the top
actresses in India. It was nice to watch the film, as an entertainer,
and there are some funny scenes. But the film does not have some novel
script which can capture you.
Salman makes his part very well. As an actor whose mission in this film is to make people laugh, he knows how to combine this aspect with some emotional expressions, such as that when Preity informs him about the new car the family gifted him, and he feels offended about that.
Preity is very beautiful and there is something irresistible about her on-screen. The role may not have required histrionics from her, but she does her job effectively.
Mukherjee gets very little scope and doesn't make any impact. The first three quarters feature her lying on bed, and the remaining one introduces her as a good human being and caring sister, too typical and boring.
Watch it if you are a fan of Salman, Preity and to some extent Rani, and want to have some good two-three hours, but don't watch it if you expect to see a good, or even an average film. 4/10.
