Synopsis
Sitara (Sanjay Dutt) and Tara (Govinda) are brothers who are notorious, lovable, small-town con-men who are always in trouble with the law. One day when the police are chasing them, they mistakenly shoot one of the most deadly criminals who goes by the name Cobra (Ashish Vidyarthi). They look for cover and find themselves at Major Ram Singh's house (Jackie Shroff) who got Cobra's brother Panther (Gulshan Grover) arrested because he and Cobra tried to steal a very advanced gun. Tara and Sitara go to Singh's house but, since he is an army officer, he first doesn't allow them. Then he does.Living in his house for a while, Tara and Singh's sister fall in love; Sitara and Singh's sister's friend fall in love, too. One day, while in the house, they watch TV and learn that Cobra has come back. They realize that Cobra has kidnapped their mother so he can force Tara and Sitara to get Panther out of Ram Singh's jail. They succeed in getting Panther out of jail. Cobra returns their mother.
Ram Singh realizes that he has been fooled by the two; they watch him on TV getting embarrassed by the media. Sitara and Tara realize they should get revenge on Cobra and Panther. They go to Singh's house and tell him how they were forced by Cobra to deceive him. Singh forgives them. The brothers go out to catch the two criminals. They are successful and all ends well.

Storyline
Two petty thieves Tara and Sitara (Govinda & Sanjay Dutt
respectively) get on the bad side of two wanted criminals, namely
Panther and Cobra (Gulshan Grover and Ashish Vidyarthi respectively),
and must run for their lives. They end up at the residence of Major Ram
Singh (Jackie Shroff), who is also on the lookout for Panther and Cobra.
Ram Singh mistakes them for good people and shelters them. Then Panther
and Cobra kidnap Sitara and Tara's mom (Himani Shivpuri), and both must
obey Panther and Cobra's instructions, including betraying Ram Singh's

Bollywhat
This film is a gem and I
have encouraged friends to watch this movie. It is not the writing that
produces laughs-- in that area, it is rather lackluster. However, the
overacting, the overall craziness of the film had me in tears. In
addition, it is impossible to not laugh during the first scene. Most
films have been scored using multiple songs. This film uses the same
song throughout the movie and it couldn't be funnier. Govinda and Dutt
are horrible dancers and they make this painfully obvious throughout the
film. Additionally, if you watch it subtitled in English, you may find
some scenes particularly hilarious on another level. The dialog was
spoken in English, yet the subtitles are grammatically different. Ek Aur
Ek Gyarah has a special place in my cabinet of films. I am rather
surprised that this film has not attained cult status.
