Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (English: I am crazy about Prem), is a 2003 Indian Hindi romantic comedy drama film by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions. The film is a remake of the 1976 film Chitchor and features Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles. The movie had a worldwide release on 26 June 2003.
At first Sanjana cannot stand the enthusiastic and out going Prem, and she plays a series of pranks on him, together with her friends. As they begin to spend more time together, they put their differences aside and eventually fall in love, much to the delight of her parents – who also love Prem. Prem returns to the U.S. for work and promises Sanjana that he will be back soon. Suddenly, however, Roopa informs the family that her friend Prem could not make it so someone else was sent in his place.
Sanjana's confused parents find out that the man who is here is not actually the wealthy N.R.I. Prem Kumar, whom Sanjana was meant to meet. Rather, he is Prem Kishen, an employee in Prem Kumar's company. Prem Kumar (Abhishek Bachchan) arrives soon afterwards to meet Sanjana, and begins to have feelings for her. Sanjana's mother slowly tries to push her towards Prem Kumar, though her father (Pankaj Kapur) has reservations because he knows how much Sanjana and Prem Kishan are in love. Prem Kumar and Sanjana begin spending time together and become friends due to their common interests, but Sanjana is committed to Prem Kishen. Prem Kishan returns to Sanjana's house, where he is treated coldly by her mother and witnesses Prem Kumars feelings for Sanjana. He emotionally reveals the truth to her – that his boss was supposed to marry her and not him. Sanjana is devastated.
A marriage is decided for Sanjana and Prem Kumar by their respective mothers. Prem Kishen's loyalty to his boss and his boss' happiness forces him to leave and let the marriage go on, while a heartbroken Sanjana agrees only for the sake of her parents. Ultimately, Prem Kumar learns the truth and unites Sanjana with Prem Kishen.

Plot
Sanjana (Kareena Kapoor) is a young woman, full of life. She has just graduated from college and is not happy about the concept of arranged marriage, much to the dismay of her mother Susheela (Himani Shivpuri). Roopa – Sanjana's older sister who has settled in the U.S., phones her parents and informs them that her friend Prem has seen Sanjana's picture and is interested in getting to know her. Soundtrack
The music of this film was composed by Anu Malik which was a musical sensation in 2003. All songs were huge hits, especially the tracks "Bani Bani", "Chali Ayee", "Sanjana I Love You", "Kasam Ki Kasam", "O Ajnabi" were chartbusters. All the lyrics were penned by Dev Kohili. This albumn features the Southern singing sensation K.S.Chithra. This is for the first time that she has sang huge number of tracks (8 out of 11) to any Hindi film. Anu Malik composed huge number of successful tracks (11) for this film. Storyline
The Kapoor family are very rich Indians who live in India and want their
youngest daughter,Sanjana,to get married to an American-Indian
businessman named Prem. Prem is welcomed, and after a few
misunderstandings, both Sanjana and Prem fall in love with each other.
Then chaos descends upon the Kapoor family when they find out that the
boy named Prem is a fake, and that the real Prem was delayed and is now

Its True...You can fall a sleep in the cinema...
I have worked in a
cinema for 3 years, and i have personally been to a cinema 1000s of
time. Never did I know that you can fall a sleep. If the film is this
Awful and boring, you can fall asleep. I am not a Big Fan of Kareena
Kapoor. I think she ruined K3G with her Poo acting. I think Hritek is
overrated, but watchable. At the time i was not fond of Abishek
Bachchan, now he is doing well. I watched this movie because the
director had given us BLOCKBUSTER HITS Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Apke Hain
Kaun and Hum Saath Saath Hai. I didn't expect his next film will be so
disappointing. his previous film HSSH, was a little boring because of
Karishma Kapoor's annoying character and the script wasn't amazing.
MPKDH was ruined by the sister and script. Abishek was a little weird
staring at her like a stalker, but surprisingly he kept the film a
little alive. What i mean buy alive is that I didn't after all go to
sleep the whole film. DISGRACEFUL
