Most of it was shot in London. The film is severely criticized to be a brazen copy of the 1995 Hollywood film The Usual Suspects.[1][2]
Crime journalist Monsoon Iyer (Sushma Reddy) learns about their plight, meets them, and asks her boyfriend advocate Krishan Pundit (Anil Kapoor) to represent them. Krishan meets with the two, listens to their side of the incidents, is convinced of their innocence, and is quite sure that the two incidents — as well as the deaths of three of PP and Sim's friends (Chip (Arshad Warsi), Deva (Emraan Hashmi) and Rocker (Sunil Shetty)) — were the actions of a notorious terrorist named Murtaza Arzai.
The soundtrack of Chocolate is composed by Pritam. The songs "Halka Halka" and "Zahreeli Raatein" were chartbusters.

Plot
Following the 11 September 2001 attacks in the U.S.A., an explosion in a motorboat shatters the peace on Christmas Eve in London, UK. Following this incident is a daring robbery on an armoured vehicle carrying billions of pounds. The police suspect two Indians: PP (Irrfan Khan) and Sim (Tanushree Dutta). They are interrogated extensively amidst allegations that they may be linked to Al-Qaeda.Crime journalist Monsoon Iyer (Sushma Reddy) learns about their plight, meets them, and asks her boyfriend advocate Krishan Pundit (Anil Kapoor) to represent them. - Track "Zahreeli Raatein" wasn't used in the movie due to a copyright dispute with Jal and Atif Aslam's "Aadat".
- A duet version of "Zahreeli Raatein" was later created to promote the movie, sung by K.K. and Shreya Ghoshal. Originally composed by Jal and written by Aslam, the track is an adaptation of the song "Aadat", sung by Aslam.
- Incidentally, the rights of song "Aadat" were purchased by Mahesh Bhatt for his movie Kalyug (2005 film) which released in same year. The song was picturised on actor Emraan Hashmi who was featured in "Zehreeli Raatein" too. Atif Aslam rendered his voice to the track.

Storyline
Christmas Eve, London. While the snow-clad city gets ready to celebrate
the festival of peace and joy, a series of bizarre incidents shatter the
Christmas calm. A couple of luckless Indians find themselves hauled by
the London police and made scapegoats. Or are they? Chocolate unfolds a
web of sinister plots, slowly unearthing true and mystifying

The Usual Movie
This is the Best Indian
Movie I saw this Year. The Story was perfect. You won't be able to

Well basically I saw the movie last night. I couldn't really stop watching it. even though I had my Exams today.
But Once I reached the End I was Exceptionally satisfied with the End. However I started having a Bad feeling about the movie. I have this sort of feeling when I watched other movies too. Somehow I guessed that it was a clone of TUS though I never Saw TUS in my whole life but I am craving to watch the movie. (Just like the time I saw Saaya before Dragonfly) And Guess what. Today I was reading the Reviews and found many people saying it's a clone.
Anyways I would still recommend the movie to all Viewers Indian and foreign. It's really worth your money.

Hollywood hit 'Usual Suspects' in Bollywood as the lame excuse for a movie called 'Chocolate'. Nothing is in the right place in this movie. Be it acting, storytelling, hard-hitting dialogues or even the screenplay. No loose ends are tied in the end.
