Plot
The movie is about a qualified but short middle aged man named Mithilesh played by Rajpal Yadav and his insecurities about his height and personality when he gets married to Veena played by Rituparna Sengupta. As his married life progresses with his loving and devoted wife, his insecurities grow. He becomes jealous about his friend Saleem, played by Varun Badola, Veena's childhood friend Akash, played by Kay Kay Menon and others who he claims have an infatuation with his wife. Slowly, he suspects a change in his wife's behavior and starts believing she wants to divorce him. Being a loving husband he confesses his fear to Veena and frees her from all wifely duties. But the hidden truth, revealed at the very end, ultimately brings the couple closer.Cast

The movie got 8/10 on Rotten Tomatoes[i never thought rotten tomatoes as something official till i saw this .i was under the impression the name belongs to some rotten drug addict writing about films !!] [1] and 7.3/10 on IMDB.[2] It garnered positive reviews from both critics[3] and audiences[4] for the non-clichéd plot, subtle cinematography and Rajpal's realistic portrayal of an insecure and self-conscious person.References

Storyline
Employed as a Librarian in Lucknow University's Tagore Library,
Mithilesh Shukla is a 34-year, vertically challenged (just 5'2") old
bachelor, who has an extended family consisting of two sisters and one
brother, all married, as well as his widowed mother. His maternal uncle,
Advocate Kishorilal Mishra, and his mother persuade him to travel to
Bareilly to see a prospective bride, and he does so. He is introduced to
statuesque Veena Tiwari, both converse, and find themselves compatible.
Shortly, thereafter Veena is introduced to the rest of the Shukla
family, the couple get married, and she moves in with Mithilesh. He will
soon find people staring at them, as she towers over him, raises the
seat of his motorbike, as well as visits a footpath vendor to increase
his height. But when everything fails, he starts making excuses not to
be seen with her in public. Things only get worse after his employer
hires a much taller computer operator, Akash, who is known to Veena, and

Enough of escapism cinema - here's simplicity at its realistic best!
In the era of escapist
cinema, a film about the trials of a common man is like a whiff of fresh
air. The movie largely relies on its simplicity which the audience
instantly connects with. All the more if the protagonist is an
overbearing and possessive husband it adds a different layer into the
story.
Rajpal Yadav:: Seriously nobody else could have reprised this role more effectively. In the early years, perhaps the role could be equated to Amol Palekar or Farooq Sheikh. The way he portrays his low self-esteem is indeed commendable.
Rituparna Sengupta:: She carries herself with so much grace and beauty that you develop an instant liking for her. No wonder the husband becomes protective of this beauty. Pity, she couldn't capitalise on the success of this film and move forward in Bollywood.
Kay Kay:: This powerhouse of talent needs no words to describe his performance. Simply, spot on.
Varun Badola and Vinod Nagpal:: Nice to see TV artists on big frame. Performance-wise, quite adequate.
Special mention about the "Guncha" song by Mohit Chauhan. Very soothing, yet soulful lyrics.
Ideally, this movie could be termed as a ode' to Basu Chatterjee's and Hrishikesh Mukherjee's body of work.
Finally, Chandan Arora deserves a pat on his back. Pity, there has been no significant news in terms of his directorial ventures.
