One night, Esha gets upset telling Shyam that Varun used her for nothing so Shyam tries talking to Varun until he loses his temper and starts breaking everything. At a party, they all get drunk and decide to head back home since it is late. The six are on their way home, until they approach an accident, and are stuck on top of a cliff in their car, and if anybody tries to move, the car may lose its balance and fall off the cliff. They all remain calm, and when one of the friends tries to call someone, he finds his phone battery has run out, therefore, in rage he breaks his phone and throws it on the floor of the car. Later on, still trapped in the car, the broken phone receives a phone call; six surprised friends answer it, only to find the caller is God. God tells the six, they should keep calm, and just believe in themselves and all will be well. They do as they are told, and find that the fire brigade has arrived to save them. They all are saved. Bakshi is fired by his American boss and replaced by Shyam because he always had potential. Years later, Shyam and Varun open their own website academy, Shyam proposes to Priyanka and gets married to her, Military Uncle pays for a visa and goes to America, Radhika manages divorce papers for Anuj, Esha works as an NGO Labourer, and Priyanka becomes a school teacher. After the story, Khan asks the woman who she is, and she replies "if you believe in yourself, you will know the answer". She walks out of the lounge, and as Khan follows her, he seems to witness she has suddenly disappeared. He believes in himself, his jet gets fixed, and he flies back home.
The film takes away a lot of criticism for modifying the original episodes that unfold in the book. For example, the instance in the book where Ganesh's photos are found on the net and revealed to Priyanka by Vroom is missing from the movie, making it difficult to understand why Priyanka comes back to Shyam in the end. There are many such instances which reveal the weakness of the script. The cast also doesn't justify the original characters in the movie. Vroom in the book is described as a lean tall guy, but is played by Sohail Khan, who is a complete contrast to it. The same applies to the characters Esha (Isha Koppikar) and Priyanka (Gul Panag).

Plot
Salman Khan is a Bollywood actor, who is on a live tour near Delhi, where his private jet crashes. Luckily, he survives and in a lounge, he meets a girl (Katrina Kaif). She tells him a story, about six friends and their boss who all work together at a Mumbai-based call centre. They are instructed never to reveal their location, and speak with an American accent by a Boston-based company. There is Shyam (Sam) (Sharman Joshi), Priyanka (Gul Panag), Varun (Sohail Khan), Esha (Isha Koppikar), Radhika (Amrita Arora) and Military Uncle (Sharat Saxena). Their boss, Subhash Bakshi (Dalip Tahil), attempts to further his career by plagiarising software, agreeing to lay off 40% of the Indian workforce, and re-locate to Boston. Although these six friends work together, they still go through some struggles ;Shyam tries his best to reconcile with Priyanka after their breakup, Esha gets annoyed by Varun who loves her too much, Radhika is heartbroken when her husband Anuj (Arbaaz Khan) cheats on her with his girlfriend, and Military Uncle wants a visa to see his son and grandson. Hello had a fairly strong opening in the first week grossing approximately ₹ 60 million in the first three days itself (overseas notwithstanding).[2] The film wasn't even a moderate success at the box office. Storyline
Hello... is a tale
about the events that happen one night at a call center. Told through
the views of the protagonist, Shyam, it is a story of almost lost love,
thwarted ambitions, absence of family affection, pressures of a
patriarchal set up, and the work environment of a globalized office.
Shyam is losing his girl friend because his career is going nowhere as
he trudges his way around in a call center. His girl friend, Priyanka,
is also an agent like him at the call center who is about to be snatched
by an NRI technogeek. There is also the aspiring model, Esha, who is
hoping for the break that seems to be always already eluding her and the
man about town, Vroom, who is into well, things. The housewife,
Radhika, who is constantly at the receiving end of her mother-in-law and
a beleaguered grandfather, Military Uncle, who has been barred from
interacting with his grandchild make up the rest of the call agents who
see their worlds crumbling around them as the decisions of right
sizing...

Hello is a well made film
This was one movie that I was waiting for very eagerly!
Carry a pack of pop corn and cans of cold drink and enjoy this film with friends ,it has everything , starting from bang bang song( super six pack Salman dance number) , humor , sympathy , thrill , romance , revenge and what not and not to mention director Atul Agnihotri was the captain of all these departments . Out of so many positive things the most important thing is the story line, which is very gripping and entertaining....
Salman's hard work on his body paid off , he really danced well on the song bang bang which has good production values....
The Picturisation and the music was excellent...Their something happening in every scene of the movie and you don't get bored or look at your watch, script is strong. Performances are strong too....
Though the film was based on the novel one night @ the call center and people knew about the plot still it was enjoyable
In a nutshell its a books idea; Bollywood Masala film
