Miscellaneous Info – Rose was the only child of her parents. Her father was a private secretary of some Bengali Raja. She completed Senior Cambridge Exams at the age of 15. She started her career as a secretary for a trading firm. Later, at a private party Mister J. Madan (director of Madan Theatres) persuaded her to join the film industry and she agreed, much against the wishes of her parents.
She was awarded Gohar Medal in 1939 for her acting abilities.
