Miscellaneous Info – One of the earliest Anglo-Indian girls to enter films, Madhuri belonged to very well respected Anglo-Indian family of Nainital. She was highly educated and spoke English very well. However, she wasn’t very well versed in Indian languages. She always wanted to be a music teacher. When that dream didn’t come true, she left for Bombay with the permission of her parents and joined Ranjit Film Company. Her debut film was Pardesi Preetam (1933).
